The first heat wave of 2011 is upon us here in the northeast. Many trees just barely made it through the extreme hot dry summer we had last year only to find themselves being cooked by mother nature again this year. Last year the NOAA reported that the summer of 2010 was the forth hottest on record (since records were kept in 1895).
